Happy New Year

Well...it looks like I'm going to start the new year by playing catch up. Between our Disney vacation, coming home to a melted house (more on this in another post), Emily's birthday, shopping and Christmas it has been pretty crazy around here. I have a lot to catch up on so it will take me quite a while to get it all done. I'm going to try to post at least once a day until I'm caught up.

I'm going to start with New Years then I'm going to go backtrack and start with anything that came after Halloween (since that was my last post...I'm such a bad blogger).

Anyway....I started out my New Year's Eve at my sister's house by eating shrimp and crab legs, this is a family tradition so I could not pass it up. I then joined Rob and Emily at Rob's mom's house. Emily was already wound up and it was only 7:30. Poor Madison finally had to hide from Emily to get a little bit of a break. Emmy loves playing with her cousins but she just doesn't realize that they are so much older than her and don't always want to play her crazy games.

At midnight (or 3 minutes till but who's counting) we went outside to bang pots and pans. Emmy was excited about this until she got out there. She HATES loud noises and cried just about the whole time she was out there. The poor girl misunderstood what was going to happen because when we came back in the house she asked what we were going to make. I think she thought we were going to cook something in the pots and pans....not make loud annoying sounds with them. So about 12:30 we made our way back home and she went right to bed. I would like to say that Rob and I did too but we watched part of "Lord of the Rings" instead. We watch all 3 movies over the New Year's break.
I hope you all had a safe and happy new year and you will be hearing from again very soon.

Emily, Madison and Clayton sporting the New Year's Gear.

Clayton, Robbie and Big Dave playing a game.

Aunt Lisa and Emily playing Memory.

As you can tell, Emily was not happy with this.
