15 Month Check Up

Lil’ Bit had her 15 month check up today. She had one last shot today and now she won’t have to have anymore until kindergarten. YEAH!!! She now weighs 25 pounds and is 32 inches long. That puts her in the 75% for weight and 90% for height. She didn’t enjoy being at the doctors and she really didn’t like the shot (who would). But as you can see in the pictures she got over it really fast.

One of Emily’s friends from church taught her to "say cheese" when she sees a camera. It is really cute when she does this and now I think I will get some great smiles from her.

Her "shy smile" is one of my favorites.

She loves singing along with Elmo. You never know…she could be an American Idol in the making.

Yep, she’s definitely a girl. See how she is already multi-tasking. She can ride on her scooter and play basketball at the same time.

Kicked back watching some TV

I have to take advantage of these moments whenever I can. She really doesn't like to sit in one place for too long. However when Daddy is running the "scary" vaccum she's all over me. So we just sat back and watched some TV together. Joe even got in on the togetherness.

Mastering the Spoon

Emily is now trying to use a spoon. She's been on table food for a while now but I haven't had the courage to let her use the spoon yet. But lately she has been reaching for my spoon so I thought it was about time. Anyway she has lots of fun with it and she really likes mushing the food between her fingers.

She's either thinking..."you want some of my mashed potatoes ?" or "hey give me that camera".

Playin' with Grandpa

Emily loves playing with her Grandpa. She usually doesn't like to sit on anyone's lap but she always hops up on him. In the second picture he is teaching her how to "fly". She flaps her arms up and down really fast and belly laughs the whole time.

Snow Day

Snow in spring. You just gotta love living in the Mid-west. Anyway for me it was another photo opt. In the picture on the left she's my cuddly little Eskimo and in the picture on the right she looks alot like an Umpa Lumpa from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I was going to try to take some pictures outside too but Emily doesn't like the cold at all so I had to settle for these two.

Sittin' Pretty

This is one of Emilys favorite new things to do. She loves to climb up on the kitchen chairs now. She got up there all by herself. As you know she is my little climber. I don't mind so much when it's on the couch because that is big and soft. This on the other hand is small and hard. She has already fallen off a couple of times but she doesn't let that stop her. Once she sets her mind on something by dog she's going to do it.

First trip to the park

We took Emily to the park for the first time on Sunday. She wasn't so sure of the swings at first but once she got going she loved it. (as you can see) She didn't like the slide so much. I think is scared her a little bit. But I had fun watching Daddy go down the slide with her. She also liked to watch Daddy climb on the rock wall.

Sleeping Beauty

She was so cute sleeping in the car that I just had to take a picture. (what don't I take a picture of???) Anyway, she's just like her Mommy and gets sleepy in the car.
