Maryville Homecoming

We went to the Maryville Homecoming last weekend. Emily had a blast. She got watch a parade, Madison was marching with her dance school, get her face painted and ride some rides. There was no chickening out this year. She rode the motorcycles and the space ship!! She even braved the bounce house.
Shortly after I took this picture she ran her finger down her cheek. It kinda looked like he had a rainbow going down the middle of his face.

This is Emmy in the bounce house. It looks like she is crying in the picture but she is actually laughing really hard.
"Get your motor runnin'......."

She really liked going "up to the sky" on the space ship.

Does this look comfortable???

When I went in to wake Emily up from her nap the other day this is what I found. I don't know about you but I don't think I could sleep with a giant Winnie the Pooh on my head!! She was zonked out too...she didn't even wake up when the flash on the camera went off.

Elissa & Jared's wedding

Rob's cousin, Elissa, got married this past weekend. They were brave enough to ask Emily to be in the wedding. They actually had a total of 6 two year olds in the wedding. WOW!! All in all everything went well. Emily was really excited that she got to wear a pretty princess dress and ride in a wagon. Clayton was a Jr. Usher in the wedding and it was his job to pull Emily down the aisle. Madison was also in the wedding as a Jr. Bridesmaid. Elissa and Jared make a wonderful couple and they had a beautiful wedding.
Emily really liked holding the bridesmaids flowers. That is Rob's cousin, Matthew, in the picture. He is the brother of the bride.I tried to get a picture of the entire wedding party but it was so big. The little girls are waiting patiently for the little boys to stop crying.Madison was a beautiful Jr. Bridesmaid.
Clayton was very handsome in his tux and Emily loved riding in the wagon.

This is the mother of the bride, Rob's Aunt Lyndal.

Elissa and her father, Jerry, making their way down the aisle.

Emily was so excited to be one of the Miniature Brides. When she put her dress on she said, "look just like Elissa."

4th of July

We had a very busy 4th of July. In the morning we went to Cornerstone Farms in St. Jacob. Emily got to do lots of new stuff there. She was really adventurous that day. She got her face painted for the first time (she's never wanted it done before), she petted a chicken and a miniature horse, let a caterpillar crawl on her arm and she rode the ponies 3 different times. They also had horse demos, snacks and a blue grass band. Best of all it was all free. Grandma J went with us and Emmy had a ball with her. Emmy really liked it when Grandma held her hand when she rode on the pony the first time.
That evening we went over to Aunt Lisa and Uncle Chippy's house. We ate some really good food and then waited in the house for the rain to end. After it stopped raining we got in the (very cold) pool. Emily wasn't so sure of the fireworks. She really liked to look at them but she didn't like the loud noise they made at all. She clung to me just about the whole time. We got home after 11:00 and Emily went to bed around midnight. It was a long day but we had a great time.

I forgot to take an "after" picture. She had a really cute pink ladybug.

Emmy LOVES bugs now. So she was really excited when this tiny caterpillar was crawling on her arm.
