Adventures at Grants Farm

On Memorial Day we took our annual trip to Grants Farm with the Walters Family. It was a hot day but we still had loads of fun. Emily’s favorite thing was feeding and petting the goats. I didn’t know if she would like this or not. I thought she might be scared of them. But they didn’t phase her at all. Even when one tried to eat her pigtail she just laughed. I’m pretty sure she was on a mission to touch every goat there. She would run up to one, pet it’s back then run to the next one and do the same thing. Then she started waving to them and saying "hi". She also tried to kiss them but I put an end to that real quick.

One down…a whole bunch more to go.

It looks like Daddy has something all three of them are interested in.

Trying to kiss the goat.

This one is my favorite! "Hi Goat"

Awwwwe, too cute.

Cool "new" bike

This weekend Emily got to ride a bike for the first time. I’m pretty sure this used to be her Daddy’s when he was a little boy. She really liked it when Grandpa would push her around the driveway. She also liked to walk behind it and push it herself. That is until she tripped and fell down and scraped her knee. But all in all she had a great time.
Also, if you look at her shoes you can see where she walked through Grandma’s newly planted flowerbed.

What a brave girl

Emily went down the slide all by herself for the first time yesterday. She had so much fun she had to do it three times. The third time she even came down head first. No worries….it was a short slide and I was right there to catch her.

Emily and her buddy Brandon

Emily and I walk just about everyday at the park with my friend Debbie and her son Brandon. Brandon is only a month younger than Emmy. They love playing on the playground when we are finished walking.

Cool new shirt...We Be Jammin'

Uncle Jamie, Aunt Lisa, Clayton and Madison brought back this cool tie dyed shirt for Emily from their trip to Florida. I have to admit she looks pretty darn cute in it.

Emily's new play place

How do you like Emmy’s new play area? She loves to get under the bathroom sink and close herself in. She then throws the door open and laughs herself silly. What a goof ball.

Mothers Day and a sick baby girl

My poor girl has been so sick. She had an upper respiratory infection, a yeast infection, and two different types of rashes from these infections and to top it off she is teething. Today is the first day she is back to her playful self.

So my Mother’s Day was pretty low key. However, Rob gave me a beautiful locket with some really cute pictures of Emily in it and he also made steaks for dinner. Yummy! It was a really good day to relax and just take it easy.

This is Emily and me watching her
favorite TV show...Lawrence Welk.

Grandpa and his girls

Grandma took this great picture of Emily and Madison having fun with Grandpa. We were over at their house to celebrate Grandpa’s birthday.

"Love you"

Emily said, "love you" for the first time yesterday. I was talking on the phone with my mom so of course Emily wanted to "talk" to Grandma J. too. When she was done I said "say I love you" and to my surprise she did. I had to have her say it again because I just could not believe she said it. My heart melted. I can’t wait to hear her say it again and again.

Corn on the Cob

Yep…she’s definitely a Monroe. She really digs corn on the cob.

Soda Pop

The other night when we were over at Grandpa and Grandma’s house I let Emily have a drink of my orange soda. I really hope that I didn’t create a "soda monster". She would not let go of the bottle when it was empty. She carried it everywhere with her trying to get more out of it. She looked really cute when she put Grandpa’s hat on.
