Amy's Birthday

I had a great weekend celebrating my 33rd birthday. I got to spend some time with all of my family. Going to the park yesterday with Rob and Emily was my favorite thing all weekend. We had so much fun. She loves to climb on everything and go down the slides. She climbed up this "rock wall" all by herself (I was right behind just in case.)

My Poor Baby Girl

Thursday night Emily fell against a shelf at Grandma's house. She hit it just at the right angle to push one of her teeth back up into her gums. Now the whole left side of my girl's face is swollen and I'm pretty sure she's going to get a black eye too. So yesterday she had to take her first trip to the dentist. She did much better than I thought she was going to do. She didn't really like getting the x-ray taken but she got over it pretty quick. She is such a trooper...she is still her wild and crazy self running and playing everywhere. I just don't know how she does it. I'm such a baby when I get hurt but she just goes with the flow. I guess she just doesn't want to miss out on having any fun.
Here she is trying to give me one of her "cheesy smiles". If you look closely you can see where her tooth is missing. (right next to her front tooth)

Emmy's Easter Dress

For some reason I didn't take any pictures of Emily in her Easter dress on Easter. However, I did take her to have her pictures taken at a new portrait studio in Fairview Heights. I was really impressed with them so I think I'm going to start taking her there instead of Sears.

Egg hunt at Bethel

Our church had an Easter egg hunt the day before Easter. You know...there just isn't anything like hunting for eggs when it is freezing outside. I could not believe how cold it was that day. Emmy had fun at first but then she just got too cold and wanted to go back inside.

Daddy helping Emmy with a sucker.

Emmy watching Katy get her face painted.

As you can see...it is nearly impossible to get a picture of all 3 of them together.

Opening her Easter basket from Grandma J.

The egg hunt was on Katy's birthday. So afterwards we went out to eat at Alfonzo's. Emily really liked "driving" this elephant after lunch.

Easter at Grandma Glenna's

We had our Easter dinner at Grandma Glenna's house on Good Friday. Emmy really liked the egg hunt. It was pretty cold outside but the kids still had lots of fun. Thank you Uncle Chippy for hiding the eggs.

Emily loves to wrestle with Clayton. I don't know if Clayton likes it as much as Emmy but he is a very good sport about it.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Grandma Glenna helped Clayton, Madison and Emily color Easter eggs. Emmy had lots of fun. She really liked "dropping" the eggs in the dye. She would hold it about 4 inches above the rim and just drop it.

Playing at "The Game"

A couple of weeks ago Julie, Mom and I took the kids to this really cool indoor playground. Emmy had lots of fun playing with Katy and Kevin. Towards the end she finally got enough courage to climb to the top with Katy to go down the big slides.
She doesn't look like she's having much fun here but this was one of her favorite things to play on. She still still talks about "bouncing on the green one".

As you can see they had lots of fun going down the slide together.

An evening with Grandma J

Emily got to spend an evening with Grandma J while Mommy and Daddy went to a Sunday School party. She had lots of fun. As you can see she made quite the fashion statement too. She wanted to play outside but it was pretty cold and she wasn't really dressed for it so Grandma let her wear one of her t-shirts. Emily loved it so much that she wouldn't take it off so she ended up wearing it home.
