Memorial Day at the Zoo

On Monday we went on our annual Memorial Day outing with the Walter's family. Debbie Shrewsberry and Michael Nickerson joined us this year also. We had lots of fun at the zoo in the morning, a nice long nap in the afternoon and then a BBQ at the Walter's house that evening. It was a full day but a whole lot of fun. Emily really enjoyed playing with the big kids. She followed them everywhere. I see some good babysitters in Emily's future. Zach, Ryan, Corey, Michael, Ashley, Emily and Emily waiting to go in the zoo.

Emily and Mr. Joe in the penguin house. (Nope...that's not a real penguin she's touching)
Emily and Emily...my girl was being a real bugger when it came to getting her picture taken.
This is the only picture of her smiling that day. I don't know if it was Daddy or the Ape who made her happy. ;)

My brave girl

Emily has been getting very adventurous at the park lately. She wants to do everything herself now. She was a climbing fool the other day. She didn't even let her dress keep her from it. She saw a little boy climb up this so she decided to give it a try.
She can climb all the way to the top by herself.
She didn't get very high on this one. She liked to just sit on the lowest one and dangle her legs.

Mother's Day

I had a very nice Mother's Day thanks to Rob and Emily. They made me a really cool picture with Emily's hand print inside of Rob's hand print. I'm going to try to scan it into the computer so I can post it. Here's a couple of pictures of me and my girl. Just for fun I also posted pictures from my other 2 Mother's Days.

Emmy's New Pool

I just made the best $20 investment for the summer. Emily loves her new pool. She was so excited to finally get to play in it. She has been in it just about everyday. Here are pictures of the first day she was in it.
She was so excited...she was running to her pool with her rings. She really likes that it came with balls to play with too.
Trying to go down the slide.

It also came with this really cool giraffe.

As you can see...she LOVES her new pool.

Goofin' Off at Grandma's House

Here are some random shots of her playing at Grandma Glenna's house.

Look at her neck in these two pictures. She fell down and hit her neck on the corner of Grandma's Lowboy.

Mad Monkey Face

I just love this look. I asked her to "say cheese" and she she told me..."NO..say cheese tomorrow" as she gave me this look.

Science Center

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Science Center with Aunt Julie & Kevin and my friend Nancy and her son Joshua. We made the mistake of going on a Friday in May...prime time for schools to have their field trips. It was so crowded that we couldn't even walk around without bumping into someone. Luckily Nancy was able to get us in the Discovery Room for free because she is a member. There were maybe 10 kids in there. So we had a really nice hour for the kids to have lots of fun without all the big kids getting in the way.
Emily loved pushing all the babies around in the wheel chair.
Wow...Emily and Joshua sure look happy!!!

Hiding from Mommy

When I walked in the living room this is what I saw. And I heard "Emmy hiding...Mommy can't see Emmy". The second picture is of her saying "Here I am" and throwing the pillow off.

If you look closely in the second picture you can see her missing tooth. We go back to the dentist on Thursday so hopefully I will have an update for you then.

Playdate

My friend, Ailee, invited us over last week so Emily could go "swimming" with Alivia. The girls had lots of fun playing in the water. Then they enjoyed some frozen yogurt.
