Chips

Emily decided to help herself to a bag of chips we left on the table.

Hurt lip

Last Friday night we had a little scare with our girl. She fell off the kitchen table and she bit her bottom lip. It bled a lot for quite a while so we almost took her to the hospital. She got over it a lot faster than her Daddy and I did. While we were trying to decide if we should take her to the ER she started smiling and playing under the bathroom sink. I really knew she was going to be okay when she wanted me to brush her teeth. Before she went to bed I gave her some Tylenol and put some Orajel on her lip and she was fine. I tell you she is one tough girl.

I’m sorry about the quality of the picture but she really didn’t want to pose for me. I guess that’s understandable.

Snack time with Conan

This girl can have fun anywhere

I had to take Emmy with me when I had Rob’s truck tire worked on yesterday. They had toys in the waiting room but why play with those when you can play in a tire on the floor? Of course she was filthy when she got up but she had lots of fun. Luckily we had plenty of baby wipes with us.

Emily and Alexsys

Yesterday I babysat my friends little girl, Alexsys. She is 8 months old and cute as a button. Emily had lots of fun playing with her. After they went home Emmy kept saying, "where baby go". Emmy was too busy showing Alexsys how to play with the toy to look at me for a picture.

Pretty dress from Mexico

When Grandma J went to Mexico last year she brought back this very pretty dress for Emily. I tried to get Emmy to pose for me but she was too busy to stop whatever she was doing. So I got some really cute random shots of her instead.

She doesn't look very happy in this one but it shows off the dress.

She was trying to get a sticker off the bottom of her foot.

Lookin' cute with her blankie. Notice the look Sally is giving her..she gets that look alot from Sally. It's the "are you bothering me again" look.

She likes to color now.

She is wanting a snack. She kept crying, "wish, wish". In Emmy talk that is "fish, fish" which is what she calls her fruit snacks. Doesn’t she just look pathetic, like we never feed her or something?

Fun with Daddy

Emily had fun using Daddy as a jungle gym the other night. Then she cuddled up with him to watch a little TV. She also wanted to show off her new hat.

Splash City

On Friday we went to Splash City with Aunt Julie, Katy and Kevin. The kids had a blast. Emily was unsure of it at first but after a while she had lots of fun. She even went down the small water slide all by herself.

Big Foot

Like I told you earlier, Emmy loves to wear shoes. She saw my shoes by the front door so she brought them to me saying "Mommy’s shoes". I told her, yes they were my shoes but I didn’t want to put them on. She then sat on the floor in front of me and said "on me" so of course I had to put them on her. She was so cute trying to walk in them. In the picture on the left she was making her way across the room when she heard that Ford commercial where Taylor Hicks is singing so she had to stop to dance. I tell you, she is a dancing fool. Anyway in the other picture she is just cheesing for the camera.

Go Speed Racer

Emily got this racing hat at Kevin’s birthday party. She refused to wear it at the party but when we got home she walked around in it for quite a while. I guess she didn’t want to look silly in front of all those people. She is so funny.

Cookie Monster

We made the mistake of giving Emily an Oreo without putting a bib on her. She had chocolate all over the place. She was so messy that she got a bath as soon as she was finished eating.

Emily at Camp Courage

Here are a couple of pictures of Emmy when they came to pick me up from Camp Courage. The one on the left is of her playing on one of the golf carts we use for getting around camp. The one on the right is of the poor girl sweating buckets. It was over 100 degrees that day. We were all glad to get in the air-conditioned van to go home.

Fun with stickers

Emily found a sheet of my Pooh stickers so of course she wanted all of them. She loves to put them on her shirt, take them off and then put them on my shirt. This is all fine and dandy until I walk into Wal-Mart and find a couple of them still there. Of course I can’t take them off because she is with me and she just puts them right back on. The things you do for love. :)

Oh and if you are wondering…yes those are water shoes she is wearing. She is so unlike me in that way. She loves to wear shoes and when she gets her mind set on which ones she wants to wear there is no changing her mind.

New slide

Yippie!! Emily now has a slide she can actually slide down. No more short slide for this girl. I found this great Little Tikes slide at a yard sale for 5 bucks. I was so excited. Emily just loves it. However, she scares me half to death when she stands up on the top of it. I have to remind her to sit on her bottom. She is such a little stinker.
