We had a very busy 4th of July. In the morning we went to Cornerstone Farms in St. Jacob. Emily got to do lots of new stuff there. She was really adventurous that day. She got her face painted for the first time (she's never wanted it done before), she petted a chicken and a miniature horse, let a caterpillar crawl on her arm and she rode the ponies 3 different times. They also had horse demos, snacks and a blue grass band. Best of all it was all free. Grandma J went with us and Emmy had a ball with her. Emmy really liked it when Grandma held her hand when she rode on the pony the first time.
That evening we went over to Aunt Lisa and Uncle Chippy's house. We ate some really good food and then waited in the house for the rain to end. After it stopped raining we got in the (very cold) pool. Emily wasn't so sure of the fireworks. She really liked to look at them but she didn't like the loud noise they made at all. She clung to me just about the whole time. We got home after 11:00 and Emily went to bed around midnight. It was a long day but we had a great time.
I forgot to take an "after" picture. She had a really cute pink ladybug. Emmy LOVES bugs now. So she was really excited when this tiny caterpillar was crawling on her arm.
